Boyce Thompson Arboretum in Superior is the oldest and largest botanical garden in the state and boasts over 4.7 miles of trails in gardens representing 11 different regions of the world. The arboretum turns 100 this coming year and they will be hosting special centennial celebrations all year long.

The trail creates a connection from the stunning Arizona National Scenic Trail, through Superior to the rugged Queen Creek Canyon. Along the way it passes through the riparian forest of Arnett Canyon and the remains of the abandoned town of Pinal, and all the while under the gaze of the majestic Pickpost Mountain to the south and Apache Leap to the east.
