It's a special time at Boyce Thompson Arboretum as they mark 100 years of cultivating their beautiful botanical gardens. See what they have planned for their centennial celebrations below.
Founder, Colonel William Boyce Thompson realized nearly one hundred years ago what we still believe today: All life depends on plants.
In advance of Boyce Thompson Arboretum’s milestone anniversary in 2024, BTA is currently planning a full range of programs and initiatives that will celebrate 100 years of their history while looking forward to a new vision of the future.
Centennial Celebrations will include: 100 Tree Spree Then & Now History Installation Inaugural Green Gala Legacy Tour Spiny Splendor: Hedgehog Cactus Art Exhibit Founder’s Celebration Sustainability Programming Sponsored by: Resolution Copper and BHP
100 Tree Spree
BTA is launching their 100 Tree Spree to plant 100 native trees at various public institutions, schools, and non-profit organizations throughout the Copper Corridor, valley-metro, and neighboring communities.
As we face a future impacted by climate change, we know that stewardship of the land and all creatures is vital.
An effective way to combat the many pressures our environment is facing from the ongoing climate crisis is to plant trees. Trees provide shade, thus reducing energy costs, clean our air, offset carbon emissions, improve water quality, and promote biodiversity
