Prickly Pear Festival
Every Summer

Every August in Superior come and take part in the delightful Prickly Pear Festival. Designed to educate others on the diverse and incredible Edible Desert, sustainability, organics, homeopathic and local artisans. The festival celebrates all the edible wonders of the Sonoran Desert while showcasing the many products and health benefits of the Prickly Pear cactus. Along with the festival activities, many of the local restaurants and retail merchants will have special sales and prickly pear items for sale. Enjoy art, food, music, demos, foraging, cook-offs, and special entertainment.

Superior Dia De Los Muertos
Every Fall

An annual traditional celebration of life in memory of lost loved ones. Typically on November 1st although the celebration happens on the closest weekend day. Enjoy a colorful festive scene with DJ, music, food, drinks, Folklorico dancers, vendors, art and more.

Copper Corridor Trail Runs
Every Winter
Main Street, Superior, AZ, USA
Aravaipa Running hosts these 50K to 5 mile trail runs that depart and end on Main Street. Runners traverse sections of the LOST and Arizona Trails through a riparian wonderland of flowing creeks, towering rock formations and dense sycamore trees.
Apache Leap Mining Festival

Every March Superior's Chamber of Commerce hosts the Apache Leap Mining Festival. A fun-filled event that showcases Superior's rich history as a mining town. Join in family friendly activities including parades, carnivals, live entertainment, chihuahua races, and opportunities to learn about the history of Superior and the mining industry. This unique event is much-loved by locals and visitors each year.

Southwest Heli Rodeo

Superior Arizona Municipal Airport
The Southwest Heli Rodeo is an RC Helicopter event that brings together heli pilots from all over... near and far. Pilots of all skill levels come to fly, see friends and make many new ones. They encourage beginners to come and get help with setups, flying, or any questions you might have. It's All About the Fun!

Tour and Antique Show

Each January the quaint Town of Superior opens her doors to all who enjoy taking a peek into the homes of this small town making a big comeback. An eclectic Home & Building Tour with many low cost decorating ideas. Great antique show with relaxing music and wine. Guided hike and legends of the past. Hosted by the Superior Chamber of Commerce.

BRAY Superior Jackass Dash

The sport, known as BurroCross, is Arizona’s version of the popular sport of Pack Burro Racing that has been enjoyed in Colorado for over 70 years! Runner / burro teams from all over the Southwest will start their cross country trail race down Main Street every October. While the race is in progress Main Street will host vendors, a beer garden, music, and other fun activities for all ages to enjoy while we wait for the teams to return to town to cross the finish line. This event is a spectator event and you won’t want to miss it!!
